As mentioned on our earlier posts, the Wii Fit Balance Board uses data from four different sensors to estimate the weight distribution of the ‘gamer on board’. There are actually two sensors on either side and the complex Japanese electro-magnetics and computation is able to accurately estimate each fine movement made by the person standing on the balance board. This is the unique feature of the Nintendo Wii compared to an Xbox 360 or Sony PlayStation.

There are also other videos of first time Wii Fit gamers playing all sorts of games such as the Hula loop, Ski Jump, Soccer Heading, Tree, Ski slalom, Palm Tree, Push-up and Side plank, Tightrope walk and so on and so forth. It is a hilarious experience to watch how these first time gamers fair.

Couch potato gaming era is no more. The Wii Fit with the Wii Balance Board\Nintendo Wii Fit has revolutionized video gaming into a healthy gaming practice. The world has gone mad over the Nintendo Wii Fit, 5.27 million copies were sold during the first six months of 2008. If you don’t happen to be in that group of lucky Wii Fit gamers, you are missing out a lot! This is mainly in the Americas, Europe and Japan alone. And what’s more it’s Christmas seazon and all gaminig consoles like the Nintendo, Sony PlayStation and Xbox are selling like crazy. There’s even talk that Wii 2 is on the way. Isn’t that amazing. We certainly are looking forward to that. However they say it’s going to be around 2010 when the Wii 2 comes out. Guess what? There is also going to be a Xbox coming out later in the same year. Man 2010 is certainly going to be a great year for gamers. 2008 December update – In addition to the millions sold, tens of thousands of Nintendo Wiis  were sold this holiday season, mainly during the pre and post thanksgiving shopping seasons.
