Nintendo Wii Fit – the latest utility of "Mii"

Something extremely unheard of took place in Japan recently. In a way it adds to the versatility of the Nintendo Wii! The Japanese police belonging to the Kanagawa prefecture, used the Mii feature of the Nintendo Wii to draw a cartoon of a person involved in a hit and run incident. The Mii allows you to draw out your own facial structures using a variety of built in face shapes, hair styles, ears, eyes and a bunch of other features. And that is exactly what the police officers did.

Imagine how much the Nintendo Wii would have saved the police, instead of using that money to pay an artist or some fancy imaging software!

According to the Telegraph who reported this piece of news, "The cartoonish creations can then be used in a range of Nintendo games including Wii Sports and Wii Fit." They further mentioned that "The image has been circling on computer game blogs and websites for several days, provoking both mirth and astonishment."

Hopefully this doesn’t indicate that human artists are going to be taken over by the Nintendo Wii Fit!
