What if, amidst the hoopla over the exclusive colors and the packaged software, is a trick that will make you spend more compared to buying the individual components separately?

How much can you really save with a Nintendo DS Lite bundle? Will you really be able to save some money by choosing such a package, in the first place? Alas, this is the goal of this investigative piece: to determine whether or not a Nintendo DS Lite bundle is the best choice for would-be purchasers.

Let’s do a little computation.

Let’s take, for example, the newest Nintendo DS Lite bundle in the market today: Nintendo DS Lite Green Spring Bundle includes Personal Trainer: Cooking and Carrying Case. Released only in July 1,2009, this bundle carries the SRP of $150 (though some online establishments are selling it for $140).

That sounds like a good deal, right?

Let’s take a look at the corresponding prices of the individual compents:

Nintendo DS unit: $130
Personal Trainer: Cooking: $20

Alas, the grand total is: $150, which is the same as the undiscounted SRP of the Nintendo DS Lite bundle.
What makes the bundle more special and enticing, however, are the bonuses that come with it. The bundle in our example comes with a carrying case. Though such a carrying case can be purchased separately somewhere between $7 and $25, depending on make and quality, the fact that it’s free with the Nintendo DS Lite bundle is a welcome addition, indeed. Also, the Nintendo DS Lite that is packaged with the bundle comes in spring green color, a variation that you can’t find in separately sold units. This exclusivity alone should make the bundle worth its asking price, right?

There are Nintendo DS Lite bundles, however, that are sold at a more expensive price than the sum of its individual components. This is true for limited edition bundles that are no longer sold in the market. Such an example is the Nintendo Ds Lite Cobalt Blue with Mario Party package which fetches the high price of $172 as of this writing. The Nintendo DS Lite bundles of today, especially the limited edition ones, are sure to command a higher price in the near future.

Which brings us to one important, and immeasurable, characteristic of Nintendo DS Lite bundles: collectivity. Because of the rarity of certain features included in these bundles, such as the color of the unit and some of the additional items included in the package, their values are not set in stone. They may cost $150 today, but they may fetch a $300 price tag next year.

Related Blogs

Related Blogs on nintendo

Related Blogs on Wii Fit Bundle

Want a Free Wii Fit Bundle

Featured Articles

wii

wii fit

Wii Fit Bundle

wii fit bundles

Everyone wants to own a Nintendo Wii. At this point in time, the Nintendo Wii carries an SRP of $250, which is quite expensive for most folks.

Hence, many people are on the lookout for chances – no matter how farfetched – that will help them score a free Wii.

Don’t laugh. It’s not an “impossible dream.” Winning a free Wii is perfectly doable. Of course, it will take a positive action on your part. You will have to act. You cannot win without participating, after all.
So, how can you score a free Wii?

Here are 3 magnificent ways that are worth the try:

1. Join contests. This is the most popular way to snag a free Wii. Many contests – both online and offline – offer a Nintendo Wii as the prize. Some of these contests are luck-based, like raffle contests or lotteries. Some are talent-based, like writing contests or art competitions. If you have the appropriate skills, talent-based contests are better options because you’ll have a higher chance of winning a free Wii.

2. Trade your stuff for a free Wii. There are many swapping websites on the internet today, and some of them have members who’d want to trade their Nintendo Wii for something else – something which you may own and would want to trade away as well. If you have what they desire and if both items are of equal value, a valid swap may transpire and you’ll find yourself with a free Wii.

3. Collect store points. Most online stores reward people who refer customers to their websites. This is a great way to score a free Wii. Most of these rewards come in the form of store points. All you have to do is to sign up as an affiliate for a particular online video game store and get your affiliate link. Then, you’ll have to promote your affiliate link to lead people to the store’s website. For every person that you manage to refer who eventually buys something from the online store, you’ll receive corresponding store points. You can collect these store points and spend them for any item being sold by the establishment, which may include a Nintendo Wii. This affiliate marketing option is a fabulous way to win a free Wii because it is a method that is completely under your control.

Related Blogs

Related Blogs on wii

Related Blogs on wii fit

Hilarious Wii Fit Fail

Related Blogs on Wii Fit Bundle

Performance of the new Nintendo DSi

Nintendo DS

nintendo DSi

- The core Nintendo DS system already has 2 iterations, namely the original DS and the DS Lite. The market wouldn’t be ready for a new Nintendo DSi.
- Introducing a new Nintendo DSi to the market barely 2 years since the release of the Nintendo DS Lite can be seen as a betrayal of the trust reposed to the company by Nintendo fans.
- The new Nintendo DSi may not include enough additional features that will warrant sales from people who already own an older Nintendo DS unit… and DS owners are aplenty, shrinking the potential market for the new portable.

Fast forward to the here and now, a few months after the release of the DSi, and we are left with a question:

How well has the new Nintendo DSi performed?

The answer to this question will tell us if the naysayers are incorrect with their naysay, or if Nintendo should have listened to its loyal flock.

How well has the new Nintendo DSi performed a less than a year since its release in the Western World?
One word: amazingly.

The Nintendo DSi was released in Japan in November of 2008, and as of March 31, 2009, Nintendo has sold 2.2 million copies of this portable. In the US, the new Nintendo DSi made its debut in April of 2009, and though it’s too early to compute the sales figures for the handheld system, retailers all over the country have been reporting more than 330,000 preorders and almost 1 million copies sold. As of the end of April, 2009, total sales for the Nintendo DSi worldwide have reached 3.02 million.

This isn’t bad at all, considering the adversity that the new Nintendo DSi has to contend with.

For starters, the DSi is primarily targeting non-DS owners. There are only a few avid gamers who don’t own any of the older iterations of the Nintendo DS, since the line has sold more than 100 million copies since its original release.

Secondly, the DSi is also targeting existing DS owners. This would make the new Nintendo DSi a hard sell, considering that DS owners have gone through two previous iterations of the gaming system.
Thirdly, the DSi is likewise targeting casual gamers with the system’s more mainstream functions like wireless browsing, audio playback, and dual cam support. However, the attention of casual gamers is also being wooed by other electronic gadgets such as mobile phone, PDAs, MP3 players and even a rival handheld gaming system.

Again, with all of these factors considered, we can say that – with the sales it has garnered – the new Nintendo DSi is a big success for the company.

Related Blogs

Related Blogs on nintendo DSi

Top Nintendo Games

Wii Fit Games

nintendo wii fit bundle

Video games are no exception. For most gamers, the 4th quarter of every year is the most exciting. This is the period when the big video game companies release their big time titles. And for the 4th quarter of 2009, big titles are in store for the highest selling video game console of this generation: the Nintendo Wii.

Looking for a Nintendo Wii games list of the biggest titles coming this year? Look no further. Below are the 10 of the most anticipated video games for the said console.

Remember, if it’s not in this Nintendo Wii games list, it’s not destined to be a memorable title.

1. Wii Sports Resort. Finally, a sequel to the game that ALL Wii owners have. Wii Sports Resort will feature more activities like basketball and skydiving, and will be the first to actually require the new Wii MotionPlus controller.

2. Muramasa: Demon Blade. One of the most heralded titles in this Nintendo Wii games list. Remember Odin Sphere? This game is presented the same way, albeit, with prettier graphics, bigger baddies, and a more engrossing story.

3. Dead Space: Extraction. This is not a port of the sleeper hit of 2008. Dead Space: Extraction will do for the franchise what Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles did for its mother series. That’s right! A new story behind the story, presented via a rail gun action game.

4. Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Winter Games. Just the mandatory Mario and Sonic crossover for a worldwide sporting event.

5. The Biggest Loser. The one and only video game adaptation of the hit weight loss reality show. The game will involve the original hosts, Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper, and the activities that the game will demand will make good use of the Nintendo Wii’s unique peripherals, i.e. the Wiimote and the balance board. This promises to be the most unique title in this Nintendo Wii games list.

6. We Cheer 2. The unlikeliest entry in this Nintendo Wii games list. Using the Wiimote and nunchuck as physical representations of digital pompoms may sound weird, but it was fun enough for the original that it merited this equally enjoyable sequel.

7. Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles. The sequel to Umbrella Chronicles promises more of the same rail gun action we have come to love (or hate). Discover more secrets behind the stories revealed in the main Resident Evil series by visiting the scenarios presented by this game.

8. New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The most anticipated title in this Nintendo Wii games list. The new installment of the legendary platformer will include 4-player coop mode. No online support, however, and 4 Wiimotes will be required.

9. Sadness. An atmospheric adventure game, Sadness is the Wii’s answer to the Playstation 3′s Heavy Rain. Rendered entirely in black and white, do not expect an experience like Mad World. Sadness is a dark, dark game that promises to enchant you.

10. Little King Story. A god game with a twist. Follow the adventures of a child king as he wanders the land to amass some loyal servants and increase his reputation and following. A lovechild of an RTS and an action game is the best way to describe this entry in our Nintendo Wii games list.

Related Blogs

Related Blogs on nintendo wii fit bundle

Sports Pack Game | PC Online And Video Gaming

Related Blogs on Wii Fit Games

Click and Be Fit | Exergame Fitness USA

Nintendo Game Boy in Fashion Any More

Wii Fit Games

nintendo gameboy

nintendo games

The Nintendo Game Boy was a technological marvel during its time. Released in 1989, 4 years after its bigger cousin, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) took over the Western World and changed the way we lived, the Nintendo Game Boy possessed the same processing power as the NES, albeit, displayed grayscale tones because of the limits of its LCD screen during those times. Cartridges were sold separately, with most games during the first few months of the system being downgraded ports of NES titles.

To say that the Nintendo Game Boy was a success would be an understatement. The first iteration of the handheld, along with its second, improved version: the Game Boy Color, sold almost 120 million units all over the world.

This is, by no means, a small number. If we are to find a comparison, 120 million Game Boy owners are as many as 2/5 of the population of the United States.

Indeed, the Nintendo Game Boy was a huge success.

To many, the handheld system even defined an entire generation.

But that was 20 years ago.

Fast forward to today, the age of Nintendo Wiis, Sony Playstation 3s, and Microsoft Xbox 360s. Portable gaming systems in this day and age are more powerful than the home gaming systems of 1999, with the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP leading the way. Since the Game Boy’s release in 1989, the handheld has seen many upgrades, from the aforementioned Game Boy Color, to the bigger leap that is the Game Boy Advance, to the current king of the hill, the Nintendo DS.

All of these advancements beg the question: is there still a place for the Nintendo Game Boy in today’s electronic entertainment world?

The answer, of course, is no.

Being rendered obsolete with the coming of newer technology is the fate of all video game systems, no matter how influential they may have been. The Sony Playstation, for example, marked a dramatic change in the industry as the system and its games forced developers to create 3D titles. Today, people don’t speak of the Sony Playstation as they are all preoccupied with its latest and most powerful iteration, the Sony PS3.

Is the Nintendo Game Boy still worth a purchase 20 years after its release?

Yes, but only for nostalgic purposes.

As a gaming system, the Nintendo Game Boy’s time has passed.

As a legacy however, the memories made possible by the Nintendo Game Boy will live on forever.

Related Blogs

Related Blogs on nintendo gameboy

Related Blogs on nintendo games

Save Money by Learning How to Back Up Xbox 360 Games | Nintendo …

Have you heard about the Nintendo DSi Browser

Nintendo DS

DS lite

This web browser powered by Opera is specifically made for the DSi structure and allows gamers to access the web. You can use the Nintendo DSi browser to surf the internet and then you can download new games and applications with the help of the DSiWare software. You can also check email, weather reports and latest news right from your console.

The DSi has additional memory which is used by the browser. The Nintendo DSi browser is not included in the system but can be downloaded from the DSi shop for free. The DSi shop is an online shop where users can buy both purchased and free content for their device.

The Nintendo DSi browser passes Acid1 test. It nearly passes the Acid2 test. It receives 53% on the Acid3 test in Column mode and 44% in Overview mode. These tests are conducted to indicate the browser’s compliance to the web standards.

The web browser supports CSS opacity. Still, its usage slows down the browser to a considerable extent. This is particularly conspicuous when you are using it with event – driven functionality like mouseOver and mouseMove. Inspite of this, the Nintendo DSi browser has been proven to be faster than the Nintendo DS web browser.

The Nintendo DSi browser supports character sets of Greek, Japanese (hiragana, kanji, katakana), Cyrillic and Western(including diacritics) languages. The browser also supports universal symbols like male, female, musical staffs, numbered bullets etc. Mathematical symbols can also be represented on this browser. However, italic and bold fonts are not supported. The text shadow styles are also supported.

Most of the websites that are not plug – in heavy will be at ease when displaying on the web browser. However, a need to disable image download may arise. Otherwise memory may be depleted.

Thus there are ample functions that Nintendo Dsi browser can perform. You can use to address all your gaming needs and even more than that.

Related Blogs

Related Blogs on DS lite

Related Blogs on Nintendo DS

Revamp Your Nintendo With Sexy Skins

Featured Articles

nintendo wii fit bundle

wii fit bundles

All Nintendo DS Lite skins are adjusted on the protective layer made of cast vinyl and UV resistant inks. The skins are put with an adhesive and are re-adjustable. Also, your Nintendo can go for an image make-over whenever you want. All you need to do is to remove the skin which you already have and put another in the same way. The adhesive used is such that replacing a skin is absolutely hassle-free. The skin not only adorns the Nintendo DS Lite but also covers it outside and inside so that the effect produced is maximized!
However before applying Nintendo DS Lite skins you need to know the following details:

o	Have a close look at the Nintendo. If you are sufficiently familiar with its different parts you are better off. The application of the skin will be accurate if you start from the smaller parts.
o	See to it that the surface of the gadget is sparkling clean. If you are putting a sin on an unclean body, it will produce undesirable outcomes. Also, there is the risk of air bubble formation if the surface is not cleaned thoroughly.
o	When you are putting a skin on your Nintendo DS Lite, start from the centre and move outwards. Avoid getting any air bubbles on the surface. Remember, it will look best when it’s free of dust and bubbles!
o	If you want to revamp your gadget, no problem! Just remove the earlier skin and go for a new one but be careful about the mentioned points.

No matter how beautiful the Nintendo DS Lite skins are, if they look unkempt it will mar your efforts. So clean it regularly with a wet cloth and then have fun at your fingertips!

Related Blogs

Related Blogs on nintendo wii fit bundle

Related Blogs on wii fit bundles

Nintendo Review from All Over the Web

Wii Fit Reviews

nintendo wii console

wii bundles

Wii Fit Balance Board

wii fit review

Bear in mind that the Nintendo DSi was preceded by 2 iterations of the core system: the original DS and the DS Lite. The Nintendo DSi isn’t considered as a new portable console. Rather, it’s just an improvement over previous versions of the system.

Now, a few months after its release and with the aid of Nintendo DSi review from all over the internet, we can come up with an answer to the question posted above: is the Nintendo DSi necessary?

First in our list of Nintendo DSi reviews is Business Week Magazine, which believes that the DSi is “well worth the money,” a statement that is tantamount to saying that the DSi is something that people – DS owners and non-DS owners alike – should get. Business Week Magazine gave the system the fantastic score of 4.5 out of 5.

But of all the Nintendo DSi reviews available, Business Week Magazine’s carries the least weight. After all, Business Week Magazine does not specialize in video games.

But what do the video game websites say about the DSi?

IGN, one of the web’s biggest video game websites, can provide a more accurate opinion among the many Nintendo DSi reviews available. IGN gave the portable a score of 7.8 out of 10, worth considering but not really a “must buy.” According to IGN, the Nintendo DSi is a “worthwhile” upgrade to the previously released DS Lite. The systems biggest drawback, however, is the removal of the slot for GBA cartridges, effectively removing backward compatibility from the handheld.

Let’s proceed to more Nintendo DSi reviews…

PC World gave the portable the score of 7.5 out of 10. The website played it safe by saying that the DSi packed some nifty upgrades to an already impressive gaming system.

Bit-Tech refused to provide a numeric score, saying instead that though the Nintendo DSi comes with fantastic new features like dual cameras, improved audio playback, a more powerful processor, a sleeker design, better wifi connectivity, and the likes, it does not justify a purchase from existing owners of previous DS units.

And the most accurate of these Nintendo DSi reviews?

CNET summed it up best by saying that though purchasing the new Nintendo DSi remains a mere option for people who already own a DS or a DS Lite, the Nintendo DSi is still a marvelous piece of technological wonder that is very much worth considering. CNET gave the system a score of 3.5/5.

Related Blogs

Related Blogs on nintendo wii console

Related Blogs on wii bundles

Related Blogs on Wii Fit Balance Board

Advanced Nintendo Gaming for the Wii Fit Bundle User

Wii Fit Games

gaming

nintendo

wii fit

Wii Fit Bundle

wii top games

Why buy a Nintendo DS Lite bundle? So, throughout this article the positive and negative aspects of the Nintendo Wii shall be assessed to scoop out an opinion for the product.

The positive aspects that made the Nintendo Wii renowned were its revolutionary peripherals, an incredible compact size, fit enough to hold in a pocket and a beautiful architectural structure. By the time the Nintendo Wii was launched there was already a fan group eagerly waiting to grab a Wii system.

In spite of all the hype and fanfare, the Nintendo Wii subsequently disappointed a lot of its users mostly by the lack of good, stable third party support. Even though Nintendo released console after console yet it lacked a proper channel of developers ready to create games for it.

It did provide some astounding games like Mario, Zelda, and Metriod but still it lacked variety and a wide genre of games. This made the console seem pretty useless making experience of gaming with Nintendo Wii not that exciting and fan-fare after a while.

Nintendo Wii did provide its users with host of add on functionalities like getting access to news, internet and even the voting channel but the real let down was the non existence of DVD compatibility. It was a huge let down for the Wii as its user could do many things but not watch movies.

But again, the Nintendo Wii came up with lots of innovative features in the form of backward compatibility, SD card support, downloadable feature, and WiiWare. Were these really new? Well backward compatibility had been there since console sequels began, SD card to save games was just like any other memory card or hard drive and downloadable content is not really something revolutionary.

The other major setback for the Nintendo Wii was its inability to provide a low, decent graphics, much to the disappointment of hard core gamers. Moreover absence of built-in wireless adapter and limited built-in storage function retarded its much created hype.

The Nintendo Wii falls short of meeting the expectations of hardcore gamers probably better suited for families and friends. Final verdict, it’s good but not great.

Related Blogs

Related Blogs on nintendo wii plus wii fit

Amazing Investment With Wii Fit Plus With Balance Board | Hot Gift …
